Sam Browne Studs
Rivet buttons or also sam browne studs are mostly fixed on folders, belts or bags and serve as a locking device for the closure. The sam browne studs have a thread into which a slotted screw is screwed through the substrate material. Depending on the thickness of the substrate material the different length of the screw is determined. Therefore, no special riveting tool is necessary for fixing the studs. Sam browne studs can be found in the production of folders and books as well in the textile industry. The screw rivets are ideal for attaching to thicker materials, such as leather.
